PRO’S
[BOOMER] Anudike-Uzomah has a solid first step and has underrated strength, which was evident with how he was used in multiple positions on the defensive front. Anudike-Usomah is a strong edge rusher with a great bull rush and a smooth rip move. Anudike-Uzomah’s high tackle rate and the ability to get to the quarterback, even from the interior line position while at TCU, shows he is willing to do the work. He has a high motor and a great pursuit even to the opposite sideline. His ability to set the edge in run situations is a much-needed trait at the next level.
[JOE KNOWS] I just want to add that while Felix is a Junior, he barely played his Freshman year but his stats in his combined Sophomore and Junior years are very impressive – 26 games, 67 solo tackles, 29 assisted tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, 1 pass defended. Very impressive indeed.
CON’S
[BOOMER] Anudike-Uzomah’s most significant hit would be that because he has moved around so much, he doesn’t have much experience at the edge position, but that will come with reps. Even though he has a high motor, there is some question on whether or not he is fast. He can change this mindset at the combine and pro-day workouts if he runs a 4.69 Forty yard dash or better.
OVERALL
[BOOMER] Anudike-Uzomah has all the tools to be a high-caliber Defensive End in the NFL. His versatility and vast moves from the Edge position are top-notch but add his character and work ethic, and you can see an ALL-PRO defensive end in the making. In the right system, he will not only be a starter, but he could also be the anchor of that defense.
