Tennessee Titans @ Green Bay Packers
Packers -3/41
Well… We aren’t fans of spreading bullshit here at Toilets to Titles so I think we need to start by acknowledging the disaster which was last Thursday’s game between the Panthers and Falcons where the Panthers went on to upset and pretty much dominate Atlanta 25-15… Nothing went as expected in that game and we are ready to cleanse those NFL Thursday Night Football toxins from our being!!! That being said, we are happy to have two more relevant teams chasing playoff spots going this week, however, with it being so evenly matched it brings up some tough fantasy questions that we are gonna answer for you guys here tonight!
The Packers may have saved their season last week with a surprising 31-28 win against the Cowboys in overtime. Aaron Rodgers threw 3 touchdowns all to Christian Watson while Aaron Jones went for over 100 rushing yards despite being injured and facing off against one of the best defenses in the NFL. So what can we expect from this Packer team this week on a short week on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field!?!? Rodgers finally gaining confidence in a receiver not named Cobb or Lazard can only be a good thing going forward but for this week against a tough Tennessee defense who can we depend on fantasy wise? With Romeo Doubs and Randall Cobb still out I’ll start by buying Christian Watson… Will he go for 100 and 3 touchdowns again probably not, however, as the # 2 WR he should get plenty of targets once again and he proved his big play ability multiple times last week against a defense led by Micah Parsons! I’m buying Aaron Jones and putting him in the captain spot of one line up… if he can go for 100+ yards against Dallas he can do it against Tennessee we just need the Packers game plan to stick with the run like it finally did last week. With the weather forecasted to be cold and playing a Tennessee team that also wants to run a lot I consider playing AJ Dillon after seeing that he is $4,600 cheaper then Aaron Jones, however, the Titans have a very tough run defense and Dillon just can’t sniff the endzone this year so I held off. From a WR perspective though the difference between going with Lazard vs Watson is $1,200 so we are playing Lazard in one line up and Watson in the other.
On the Tennessee side the offense begins and ends with Derrick Henry so he will be in both line ups and in the Captain Spot in one… After Derrick Henry as we all know it gets a little tough with the rest of this Titans offense… We saw Nick Westbrook-Ikhine randomly go for 5 catches 119 yards and 2 touchdowns on 8 targets last week. The crazy thing on that performance is he only had 15 targets all season going into week 10!!! At $6,200 I do believe people will get over excited about his week last week but I’m willing to give him a shot in one line up this week the decision came down between him and AJ Dillon and the lack of touchdown opportunities for Dillon at this point make him close to unplayable. Austin Hooper at tight end is actually the one shot I’m willing to take with their passing game and feel decent about . Hooper went for 5 catches for 41 yards on 7 targets last week. The Titan defense has flown under the radar all year and is worth a look in the single game contest as they’ve had 4 straight games with at least 3 sacks and have scored between 6-19 Draft King points in every game since week 4 and that includes a match up with Kansas City.
