Well, week 12 your rosters should be at full strength since there’s 0 teams on bye. Let’s shift our focus and look at some guys that are injured who I believe would make for good pivot players.
Kaden Ellis, LB, NO: 2% Ownership on Yahoo!
Pete Warner has been a stud but as of recently Warner has missed the last two weeks. These missed games have brought me to Kaden Ellis. In the last two weeks, Ellis has a minimum of 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack. This week, Ellis has a matchup against the 49ers who deploy a run heavy, short passing offense which provides great upside for Ellis. I expect Ellis to keep performing at a high level this week.
Krys Barnes / Isaiah McDuffie, LB, GB: 0% Ownership On Yahoo!
De’vondre Campbell has missed a few weeks because of a knee injury and I feel like the Packers will shut him down until after their week 14 bye. This likely means Krys is the next man up to fill Campbell’s role. Although Barnes was able to rack up 12 total tackles and a sack last week, he’s been battling a hand injury so I am proceeding with caution.
The next man in line is Mr. McDuffie. When Mcduffie stepped in two weeks ago due to the knee injury of Campbell and concussion to Krys, Isaiah was able rack up 12 total tackles. This makes me believe that whomever of the two, Barnes or Mcduffie get the green light, you can play them with confidence. The Packers have a matchup against Philadelphia this week. With the Packers struggling offense and the Eagles showing they’ve been eager to establish the run, one of these linebackers will have an opportunity to ball out.
Other linebacker groups of note to monitor going forward: Cleveland Browns and New York Giants.
Week 11 Receipt Check:
Jerry Hughes, DL, HOU – 1 solo tackles, 1 assist
Jamin Davis, LB, WSH -2 solo tackles, 3 assist
Taron Johnson, DB, BUF – 4 solo tackles, 4 assist
Christian Kirksey, LB, HOU – 6 solo tackles, 1 assist & 1 TFL
Let’s win them IDP league’s!
