With so much on the line, here are some bangers to carry you through the playoffs in all of your fantasy league’s. There are no more bye’s but we still have injuries to look out for and deal with as they come up. Below I have listed a few guys I like, not only this week but for the remainder of your playoff schedule as well. I won’t lie to ya on purpose but I have a few hot takes that I’ll keep receipts on and check em at the end of the season to see if I was right. Good luck on capturing THEE TITLE in your league’s.
Nate Hobbs, DB, LV: (4% owned on Yahoo!)
Hobbs came back from a broken hand that had him miss six weeks. Seeing Hobbs have 8 solo tackles in each of the last two weeks is money. This week the Raiders matchup against a New England offense that does not have much of a passing game and are scrambling at the running back position. This week I believe you can be confident in Hobbs to come up often in run support and make a few pass deflections in the aerial game.
Monty Rice, LB, Titans: (1% owned on Yahoo!)
The Titans linebacker core has been decimated with injuries but I believe If there’s a linebacker to take a chance on, it’s Monty. Two weeks ago, Monty played 36% of the defensive snaps and accumulated 7 total tackles and a tackle for loss. Just last week, Monty saw an increase in playing time, being on the field for 71% of the defensive snaps. Rice finished that game with 7 solo tackles, 12 total tackles and a tackle for loss. Rice is trending upwards for sure. The Titans will face the Chargers and their strong intermediate passing/screen game. I believe this will give Rice an opportunity to really show he belongs on the field at all times, similar to Jack Sanborn.
Josh Uche, LB/DL, Patriots: (2% owned on Yahoo!)
This man Josh Uche has been on a tear! Over the last two weeks he’s been on the field for 43% and 64% of the defensive snaps. Uche has combined for 12 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 1 forced fumble. I am definitely looking to start him if you can play him at the D-line position. The Patriots have a matchup against the Raiders and their very strong run game. Josh McDaniels, who will be facing his old team, might try to get cute and not stick to his usual game script and surprise everyone by going pass heavy. If that happens, I really like Uche’s chances of taking Carr down.
Kamren Curl, DB, Commanders: (9% owned on Yahoo!)
I will go ahead and say it, you can drop Talanoa Hufanga for either one of the DBs I have mentioned in this article. I believe both Hobbs and Curl have higher floors and have both shown big play ability. Curl plays a lot of his snaps in the box as a run supporter and has a knack for making a play in the backfield and coming up with the tackle for loss. The Commanders coming off a bye with a matchup against the NY Giants and their run heavy offense will provide a high floor for Curl yet again. Heck just before the bye they played the Giants, Curl was able to produce 12 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss.
