PRO’S

Athlete. Sure handed/big bodied receiver with excellent body control who is capable of climbing the ladder and out-physicaling most defensive backs at the catch point. Coleman’s 62.5% contested catch rate was 4th amongst all 2024 NFL draft eligible WRs in 2022. Coleman only dropped 3 passes in 2022, on 88 total targets. Big physical frame, capable of pulling down tough targets down the middle of the field and taking immediate contact. For a big bodied receiver he does a good job of navigating through clutter and avoiding slow-downs along his route when crossing the field.

CON’S

Acceleration after the catch/break away speed. Does not create large areas of separation. Position flex, Coleman is primarily an outside wide receiver. Would expect more from him as a blocker in the run game.

OVERALL

Former 2 sport athlete at Michigan St. (Basketball & Football) and it shows. Coleman transferred to Florida St. after the 2022 season, per Seminoles.Com – Named third-team All-Big Ten in 2022 & ranked fourth in the Big Ten with 15 catches of at least 20 yards. Coleman is a true X receiver, lined up out wide 94.5% of the time at Michigan St. in 2022. Coleman’s basketball background shows up in 1 on 1 situations, whether it’s at the catch point or after the catch, he’s locked in on beating the defender.
