DUDES & DUDS – Week 6

Dudes

QB – Kirk Cousins @ Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins passing defense is ranked 4th worst so far this season and Cousins is coming in with a hot hand. Look for Cousins to top last week’s 296-yard, 1-touchdown performance this week.

QB – Kyler Murray @ Seattle Seahawks

All fantasy managers that roster Kyler Murray have been waiting for that monster performance and it has yet to come. The Seahawks were absolutely torched by Taysom Hill this past weekend…Murray is not Hill but Murray can run with the best of ’em. Look for Murray to go off in this one.

RB – Rhamondre Stevenson @ Cleveland Browns

I don’t like to depend on any specific back in the Patriots rushing attack but Stevenson looked phenomenal in week 5 and Damien Harris is dealing with a hamstring Injury. Stevenson will be facing a Browns defense that is giving up 26 points per game to opposing RBs.

RB – Kenneth Walker @ Arizona Cardinals

All Fantasy Football managers who rostered Walker to this point will be rewarded greatly in the coming weeks. With Bye weeks upon us, having an RB1 emerge from your bench is a welcomed sight. Walker balled out in week 5 and will build upon that performance in week 6.

WR – Chris Godwin @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Godwin’s season started out shaky with an early hamstring injury but after 2 weeks of being active, it looks like he’s about ready for a full workload. Godwin hauled in all 6 of his targets in week 5 and even added a carry. This week, Godwin will face a Steelers defense that has given up the most points to wide receivers this season.

WR – Darnell Mooney Vs. Washington Commanders

Mooney has not lived up to the hype he received entering this season. That being said, Chicago has faced 3 top-10 and 1 top-15 passing defenses thus far. This week, the Bears face the Commanders, who are giving up the 2nd most points to opposing WRs this season. I think the Mooney week is upon us.

TE – Evan Engram @ Indianapolis Colts

Evan Engram is coming off of a season high in targets with 10 in week 5. This week, Engram will face a Colts defense that has allowed 13.5 points per week to opposing TEs which is the 4th most amongst all teams this season. Engram is heating up and is worth a start in this one.

Flex – Brian Robinson @ Chicago Bears

Brian Robinson received 9 touches this past week and wasn’t able to do too much with them, but I like that he saw the most carries for the Commanders. On Thursday night, Washington will face a defense that was beat up on the ground by the Vikings in week 5. This is an intriguing play for those who either drafted Robinson or were able to pick him up post injury.

Duds

QB – Justin Herbert Vs. Denver Broncos

Monday Night Football against the 3rd ranked passing defense in the league…I don’t like this match-up for Herbert. The Broncos offense is in shambles and their defense will come into this one knowing they’ll need to keep up their high level of play in order to compete.

QB – Jalen Hurts Vs. Dallas Cowboys

Last week, I predicted Stafford would be a dud against this Cowboys defense and it was spot on. This week, Hurts will be the next QB to get harassed by the Cowboys for 60 minutes. Look for a big play or 2 from Hurts, but that won’t be enough to save his week.

RB – Najee Harris Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If you drafted Najee in the 1st round of Fantasy drafts this off-season, you’re likely kicking yourself right now. Harris is currently RB30 and he’s coming off of a 5 point performance in week 5. It won’t get easier for him this week as the Bucs come to town with their elite rushing defense.

RB – Christian McCaffrey @ LA Rams

It’s crazy to sit CMC given the draft capital it took to acquire him so I am not necessarily telling you to do that…I am more so predicting that this is going to be a rough outing for him. The Panthers are in shambles, Baker is hurt, and, rumor is, CMC is on his way out anyway. The Rams have been solid against the run (minus last week) and will look to bounce back in this one.

WR – Jaylen Waddle Vs. Minnesota Vikings

This one hurts to type. Waddle was my off-season sweetheart but the injury to Tua has absolutely pulled the carpet out from underneath him. Waddle has 5 receptions on 8 targets over the last 2 weeks and my confidence level for starting him is at 0.

WR – Diontae Johnson Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Johnson was targeted 13 times this past week but only hauled in 5 of them. Diontae had a few big drops and that is likely to stick in young QB Kenny Pickets’ mind going forward. George Pickens and Chase Claypool will be vying for some of those targets and I expect Pickens to become the favorite going forward.

TE – Hayden Hurst @ New Orleans Saints

Hurst is currently TE11 for the season and was TE4 in week 5. Fantasy managers are getting a lot of bang for their buck with Hurst, as he likely was not taken until the later rounds or picked up on waivers. This week, though, I am sitting him down and finding another option. The Saints have only allowed 5 points per game to opposing TEs.

Flex – Miles Sanders Vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys held the LA Rams to -4 rushing yards in the 2nd half of last week’s game. This Cowboys defense is coming in hot and will be ready to shut down the Eagles ground game on Sunday night.
