PROS
Great body control/agility, strong cuts. Tucker fast very feet that navigate him in and out of clutter quickly. Does a good job of allowing his blocks to develop while staying active and working up field. In the open field, he shows off long strides and elite speed that made him a two-sport athlete at the University of Syracuse (Football and Track).
CONS
Tucker whiffed big on pass protection vs. NC State, resulting in a quarterback sack. I’ve seen a lot of reps in which he was asked to pass block and I am not overly impressed, he needs to stop lunging/reaching for the defender and work on his technique. Doesn’t have the pop to win in those short yardage situations. Tucker does not have great body control when the ball is in the air, when the ball isn’t placed properly he struggles with the catch.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
Tucker showcases his high end track star speed when he gets to the open field. There is no question whether or not Tucker can run the ball. He has elite speed, and good contact balance and deploys strong cuts in the open field that allow him to gain chunks of yardage. Sean will not be deployed in the short yardage game as that is not his strong suit. If Sean wants to get on the field on 3rd downs, he’ll need to grow as a pass blocker as well as a pass catcher.
