PRO’S

Ball tracking, body adjustment, catch in traffic. Catches the ball with authority when extending for the football, I’d call him a snatcher. 2022 Vs. USC, 1st quarter, runs fade from the slot, DB in hip pocket, ball thrown inside/behind DB, strong concentration, makes adjustment with DB in close coverage, comes down with touchdown. 2022 Vs. SDSU, 2nd QTR 11:23, tight coverage at LOS, Diamond Release, gets inside leverage on DB forcing him in trail position, ball thrown high and snatches it out of the air with strong/quick hands.

CON’S

Needs to develop his arsenal at the breaking point in off coverage, rely less on speed power and work to get the DB out of position. Utilized in the short area game as a YAC guy but not the strongest runner after contact (Averaged 5.9 YAC/REC in 2022). 6 drops in 13 games in 2022(68.4 Drop Grade/PFF).

OVERALL THOUGHTS

As a YAC guy, more of an athlete than a tackle breaker. Excels in close coverage, better at beating the DB head to head than when DB is in off coverage. Big target with strong hands who’s capable of making adjustments mid flight and yanking the football out of the air. After transferring from Arizona to USC and now catching balls from Caleb Williams, Singer should show the nation what he’s capable of on the biggest stage, similar to what Jordan Addison did when transferring from Pitt to USC after the 2021 season.
