Senior Bowl Watchlist

Mike’s “My Guys” to watch for the 2025 Senior Bowl

In a few weeks, I will be heading down to Mobile representing T2T and the Dynasty Dogs. This year’s Senior Bowl teams are shaping up to make this a very exciting week! In this article, I am going to go over players that throughout my evaluation process I am high on, and my eyes are going to be glued to during daily practices.

QB Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss, 6’2, 225lb

2024 stats: 276/399, 69.2%, 4,276yds, 29tds, 6ints

Pro’s

  • Athlete/Mobility
  • Can make throws all over the field
  • Quick release
  • Tempo throws

Con’s

  • Decision-making under pressure/big time
  • Ole Miss offense

Quick Notes: Jaxson Dart can make a huge push this week to add to his draft stock and show he is not just a product of a very QB-friendly Ole Miss offense in this All-Star format. Per PFF, he has an intermediate passing grade of 93.7 and a deep passing grade of 92.7 — Jaxson can throw “Darts” all over the field.

RB RJ Harvey – UCF, 5’9, 209lbs

2024 stats: 231 carries, 1,578 yds, 6.8ypc, 22tds, 20rec, 267 yds, 3tds

Pros

  • Shifty runner/lateral quickness
  • Contact balance
  • Burst
  • Dependable pass catcher

Con’s

  • Size
  • Can be indecisive and look to bounce out
  • Older prospect

Quick Notes: RJ Harvey is one of my favorite RBs in a loaded class. Harvey’s super impressive footwork gives defenders major problems in the hole and in the open field, but not only is he going to make you miss, RJ has no issue lowering the shoulder and getting yards after contact (3.88 yards after contact per PFF).

RB Devin Neal – Kansas, 5’11, 215lbs

2024 stats: 219 carries, 1,266yds, 5.8ypc, 16tds, 24rec, 254yds, 1td

Pro’s

  • Make you miss ability
  • Burst
  • Vision/patience
  • Plus pass catcher

Con’s

  • Short yardage situations
  • Size

Quick notes: Something a lot of people look at in draft profiles is college production. Neal’s freshman outing was a very impressive 707yds/8td year, and from sophomore to senior year, Neal was never under 1,000yds on the ground. Similar to Harvey, Neal is a smaller back that can make you miss all over the field. Neal is one of the best pass-catching RB in this class due to impressive hands out of the backfield.

RB Damien Martinez – Miami 6’0 232lbs

2024 stats: 159 carries, 1,002yds, 6.3ypc, 10tds, 17rec, 204yds

Pro’s

  • Power runner
  • Good movement skills for size
  • Ball security
  • Vision

Con’s

  • Speed
  • Runs high
  • Pass catching

Quick notes: Future Angry Runs winner on Good Morning football, with an impressive 4.46 yards after contact in 2024, Martienz makes would-be tacklers pay. For a +230 pounder, I was extremely impressed with his quick feet in the trenches, reminds me of the early years of Eddie Lacy (it’s a good thing)

WR Xavier Restrepo – Miami, 5’10, 197lb

2024 stats: 69rec, 1,127yds, 11tds

Pro’s

  • Toughness
  • Quick/twitchy route runner
  • Solid hands and catches outside frame
  • YAC

Con’s

  • Slot usage
  • Slime frame
  • Body catches

Quick notes: The all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards at the University of Miami is headed down to the Senior Bowl. Restrepo’s impressive route running will showcase in the 1 on 1 drills and give defensive backs headaches all week.

WR Tai Felton- Maryland 6’2 186lbs

2024 stats: 96rec, 1,124yds, 9tds

Pro’s

  • Strong hands
  • Route running/gets open quickly
  • YAC
  • Release

Con’s

  • Blocking
  • Physicality
  • Slim frame

Quick notes: One of my favorite WR’s of the class and soon to be a QB’s favorite target in the NFL. Felton had a very impressive senior season where he finished 2nd in targets to the WR (148), 5th in receptions, and 15th in receiving yards, in college football. Look for his stock to keep rising with an impressive week.

TE Gunnar Helm- Texas 6’5 250lbs

2024 stats: 60rec, 786yds, 7tds

Pro’s

  • Strong hands
  • Finds open space
  • Willing blocker
  • Quickness/athleticism (constant hurdler)

Con’s

  • Blocking consistency
  • Speed

Quick notes: Gunnar Helm got his opportunity in his senior season in a high-powered Texas offense to showcase his skillset as he doubled his offensive snaps in 2024. Helm’s ability to get open quickly and create after the catch helped him become one of Ewers favorite targets as he led the Longhorns in receptions this season.

Honorable Mentions:

SMU RB Brashard Smith – 235 carries, 1,332yds, 5.7ypc, 14tds, 39rec, 327yds, 4tds

Utah WR Jaylen Royals – 55rec, 834yds, 6tds

Iowa State WR Jaylin Noel– 80rec, 1,194yds, 8tds (Tyler Lockett comp)
