Nico Bolden has length, speed, explosiveness and the ability to sniff out the ball carrier and come down with the tackle. Showed up in big games, had his 2nd best game of the 2022 season against Oklahoma, recorded 12 tackles and a tackle for loss.

Limited ball production, 3 total passes defended in his career and only 2 interceptions. Explosive but question his lateral agility, this will affect his ability to be more than a run defender.
OVERALL
Bolden transferred from New Mexico to Kent St. after the 2020 season and played in 22 games from 2021 to 2022. In 2022, Bolden finished 3rd in the MAC in solo tackles with 63 and 9th in the MAC in total tackles with 102. He is a long, explosive athlete who enjoys contact. I expect Bolden to contribute early on as a special teams player and work towards earning playing time as a Nickel LB or Box Safety.
