PRO’S

Kendre Miller was utilized between the tackles often but impressed with his ability to make defenders miss with quick cuts and spins when in open space. Instinctual ball carrier, relies on reacting rather than thinking/planning. Good contact balance, able to take on contact, react and quickly continue ahead. Very impressed with his ability to break multiple tackles on multiple carries against Oklahoma (2022), defenders rarely got clean contact and Miller would not go down without a fight.

CON’S

Does not show the speed/quickness needed to get to the edge, it appears TCU was aware of this as they often utilized him on inside carriers. That being said, the way Kendre was utilized caused LBs and Safeties to crash down hill on running plays thus creating opportunities for Miller to bump outside for chunk gains. Only 29 career receptions while appearing in 33 games over a 3 year span.

OVERALL

Miller was given the bulk of his carries between the tackles in 2022. Kendre does a great job of working through initial contact and regularly shows the ability to maneuver quickly behind the LOS before finding the hole and hitting it. Miller is very good at quickly reacting to defenders in the open field and putting himself in a position to make them miss. I am interested to see what Kendre’s 40 time is as well as the results of the other athletic tests at the combine. I saw a few runs where Kendre was able to break away from the defense but he still didn’t look overly explosive. I need the numbers to confirm whether or not my eyes are deceiving me here.
