PRO’S
Isaiah Foskey was a 3-time captain at Notre Dame which shows the type of character he possesses. Foskey has an extremely high football IQ and can read a play incredibly fast, and he has a fast jump off the ball. He knows where to place his hands to fight off blockers to finish the play. Foskey plays with a high motor, he plays through the whistle, and is never seen taking a play off. He finishes every tackle and if he gets his hands on you, you are going to the ground. Foskey is the all-time sack leader at Notre Dame.
CON’S
Foskey is kinda a one trick pony when it comes to pass rush moves. He plays stiff in the hips and he lacks any sort of dip in the hips. Foskey plays high and can become blocked too easily, a little too often. Foskey struggled to shed run blocks and became non-existent in run defense against Ohio State.
OVERALL
I believe Foskey will be a first round draft pick. He will need to work on his flexibility to move into that upper echelon of edges in this draft class. When all the pieces are there though don’t be surprised if in 10 years he is slated as one of the best edges if not THE best edge in the 23 draft.
