Measurables: (AVAILABLE POST COMBINE/PRO DAY)

Games Watched: 2021 Vs. Villanova, 2022 @ University of Northern Iowa

PRO’S

Great build. Downhill runner, just enough wiggle to avoid defenders at the second level. Strong inside runner. Shows good patience/awareness on run vs. Villanova (2021) in the 2nd quarter, running to the right side, sees a lane and takes what he can get. He runs high, square to the goal line and behind his shoulder pads, but has a good feel for what is going on to the left and right of him. Avoids contact with quick/easy movements that don’t slow him down.

CON’S

Very limited production as a receiver out of the backfield. Needs to work on pass blocking. Avoid catching defenders, set his base and meet the defender. Runs with a high pad level that works against weaker opponents in college football but in the NFL, LBs and DL are much stronger and the good ones will get leverage on him.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

In 2021, Davis shared the backfield with Pierre Strong Jr., who was taken in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. It was Davis, not Price, who received the award for being the team’s top offensive player that season. Before heading to NDSU, Davis was deemed the Missouri Gatorade Player of the year, after rushing for 2,283 yards on 253 carries with a whopping 45 touchdowns.
